Audits. . . Win-Win for Supplier and Client
Definition of an Audit
Audit
Function: noun
1 : a formal examination of an organization's or individual's accounts or financial situation
2 : a methodical examination and review
Function: transitive verb
1 : to perform an audit of or for <audit the books> <audit the company>
2 : to attend (a course) without working for or expecting to receive formal credit
Strange that such a benign definition of a word incites immediate reaction. Fear. Defensiveness, Resistance. Animosity. Creative Avoidance. And many others! It seems we have long been conditioned to react this way. Since we were children, we have been told to think of everything in absolute terms of right or wrong. Unfortunately, audits, in many instances, have been positioned as either "you are right" or "you are wrong" with little opportunity for input or explanation. Adding to the negative feelings surrounding these audits, a threat or penalty, usually severe, could be expected.

Runzheimer International Receives The 2006 Wisconsin Governor's Forward Award Of Excellence
Department of Workforce Development Secretary Roberta Gassman, on behalf of Governor Jim Doyle, announced that Runzheimer International has been awarded the 2006 Governor’s Wisconsin Forward Award of Excellence, Wisconsin's highest honor for organizational performance excellence.
Secretary Gassman praised the recipients, noting that "These award winners demonstrate that an organization's ongoing commitment to excellence can have long-term affects and lead to major gains in performance, customer satisfaction and retention, and employee performance in involvement."
Over the past ten years, only six other organizations have received the Wisconsin Forward Award of Excellence.
The Wisconsin Forward Award, Inc. is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program. The Baldrige Award is given by the President of the United States to businesses—manufacturing and service, small and large—and to education and health care organizations that apply and are judged to be outstanding in seven areas: leadership; strategic planning; customer and market focus; measurement, analysis, and knowledge management; human resource focus; process management; and results.
