Runzheimer International, a leading provider of travel program, policy and cost benchmarking information, and The Canadian Alliance of Business Travel, an education and research association providing integral Canadian benchmarking data and educational exchanges for corporate travel executives, today announced a joint project to provide Canadian corporate travel managers with benchmarking data regarding online booking practices and travel agency relationships.
An online survey launched today will remain open for ten days to gather information on online bookings and travel management company relationships from both group's Canadian travel manager contacts. The survey findings will be presented in a report in June.
"Anecdotal evidence indicates a growing emphasis within Canadian companies on online booking, as well as some shifts in the corporate relationship with travel agencies," said Canadian Alliance President Tanya Racz. "Together with Runzheimer's Travel Management Network, we will quantify important online booking and travel agency metrics, giving travel managers a tool for measuring their own programs."
President of Runzheimer International, Greg Harper, said, "By partnering with the Canadian Alliance of Business Travel, we are able to reach a combined audience of influential corporate travel professionals to create a unique and powerful data pool."
The survey will measure usage of online booking tools in corporate travel programs, including satisfaction levels and adoption rates, and it will benchmark travel agency relationships, including fee structures, average air booking fees, and changes to agency relationships. Corporate travel executives interested in taking part in the survey and receiving a complimentary copy of the report should contact Tanya Racz at tanya@caobt.com or 403-503-0431 Ext. 1.
