Today Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle announced that Runzheimer International was named a recipient of the 2005 Wisconsin Forward Award, Wisconsin’s premiere review and recognition program for organizational excellence. Runzheimer International, receiving Mastery recognition, joins ten other Wisconsin-based organizations which the Governor commended for their “commitment to excellence, to the people they serve, and to the state.” All Award recipients will be recognized at a ceremony on February 13 at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison, Wisconsin.
2005 Wisconsin Forward Award recipients were evaluated by an independent Board of Examiners in the areas of leadership, strategic planning, human resources, customer and market focus, information, knowledge and process management, and results. As part of the Forward Award process, Runzheimer received an on-site review at which Examiners met with its management team and employees to better understand the business practices and processes supporting these critical areas.
“We are thrilled to be recognized at the Mastery Level for the Wisconsin Forward Award,” states Runzheimer International’s President Greg Harper. “Our organization has fully embraced the principles behind the Wisconsin Forward Award, resulting in extremely positive results in our overall performance, customer satisfaction, and employee involvement. The entire application process has driven all members of our organization to achieve higher levels of excellence.”
The Wisconsin Forward Award program, created in 1997, promotes and recognizes organizational excellence in business, government, service, education, not-for-profit, and healthcare. The program’s main goals are to advance the competitive position and world-class status of Wisconsin organizations in the international marketplace and to enhance learning, continuous improvement, and enterprise performance.
The Wisconsin Forward Award is given at four levels—Excellence, Mastery, Proficiency, and Commitment—and is the culmination of a rigorous assessment process that uses the Criteria for Performance Excellence of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
