At its Annual Total Employee Mobility Benchmarking Forum held in Chicago on October 10th, Runzheimer International recognized Schering-Plough Corporation, Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Caterpillar Inc., and The SCOOTER Store with Employee Mobility Best Practices Awards for exhibiting effective approaches in employee mobility management. The awards recognize each organization for achieving results in a specific area of employee mobility that enhance their talent management capabilities, produce better outcomes in terms of cost management and productivity, result in greater organizational agility, and strengthen employee and customer relationships. Integration of programs, processes and approaches between the different areas of employee mobility, such as business vehicles and travel, or domestic relocation and international assignments, is another qualifying characteristic that distinguishes Best Practice Award recipients.
More than 85 leading organization were evaluated by Runzheimer International as potential candidates for the awards, covering their deployment and management of domestic relocation, international assignments, business vehicles, business travel, virtual office, and corporate aircraft programs. Runzheimer selected organizations that have achieved the most notable impact in one or more areas of employee mobility administration and management. The awardees are: Schering-Plough Corporation for relocation management and business travel management; Kimberly-Clark Corporation for international assignment management; The SCOOTER Store for business vehicle management; and Caterpillar Inc. for corporate aircraft management. "It is an honor for The SCOOTER Store to be recognized by a premier organization like Runzheimer International. I gained a wealth of knowledge from the conference and am inspired to drive our organization towards using several of the best practices that were shared by other participants during the course of the day," said Chet Lange, Director of Corporate Operations, The SCOOTER Store.
Selected other organizations also received special recognition by Runzheimer International. While these organizations did not reach the level of Runzheimer's Best Practices Award recipients, they demonstrate employee mobility approaches, results and integration strategies that are worthy of recognition. Kimberly-Clark Corporation received recognition for its practices in relocation management; Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Wal-Mart Stores were recognized for their travel management programs; and IKON Office Solutions received recognition for business vehicle management.
"Congratulations to these seven leading organizations. Their employee mobility management approaches serve as outstanding examples of how organizations can reduce costs, improve employee and customer relationships and achieve greater agility by improving their employee mobility management," stated Greg Harper, President of Runzheimer International, during the Forum's Awards Ceremony.
