Runzheimer International Honored Nationally as One of the Best Places to Work in America

June 25, 2007

Rochester, Wisconsin - For the third consecutive year, Runzheimer International has been named among the top 50 Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America, it was announced today before an audience of more than 15,000 at the Society for Human Resource Management's (SHRM) 59th Annual Conference & Exposition in Las Vegas.

This is the fourth year of the list, which ranks the top 25 small and top 25 medium companies in America that use smart people management strategies to develop successful organizations, with highly productive and satisfied workforces. The organizations, ranging in size from 50 to 999 employees, were announced by SHRM and selected and ranked by the Great Place to Work® Institute. The results were based on a randomly distributed employee opinion survey. Each company evaluated was given a score based on employees' responses to a detailed questionnaire about the organizations' workplace cultures.

"Small and medium-sized companies make up the majority of the American economy and workforce," said SHRM President and CEO Susan R. Meisinger, SPHR. “These winning organizations demonstrate that making effective use of the workforce is key to their success and their accomplishments deserve recognition."

Great Place to Work® Institute cofounder Robert Levering said, “These companies stand out because their employees find them to be places where they can trust the management, have pride in their work, and have fun at work. Other companies have much to learn about how to both be productive and do right by their people."

"We are sincerely honored to receive this recognition for the third year in a row," stated Runzheimer International’s President, Greg Harper. "It’s particularly rewarding to know our employees were involved in this year’s process which received record participation from companies and over 44,000 employees. I believe this award truly reflects Runzheimer International’s emphasis on creating an environment of respect, teamwork, integrity, and excellence.”

Stories about the winning organizations will appear in the July issue of HR Magazine, the Society's flagship publication with a circulation of 200,000 (available at www.shrm.org/hrmagazine). The winning organizations will also be listed on the Great Places to Work ® Institute’s web site at www.greatplacetowork.com.
