Runzheimer International of Rochester, Wisconsin has acquired RouteSmith, a Denver, Colorado based firm that specializes in driver route optimization. Terms of the agreement were undisclosed.
"Both of our firms believe strongly in the value of information and finding innovative ways to have this information create value for our clients. We are extremely excited about this transaction and look forward to merging the talent and product offerings of these two leading firms into one unified solution set," said Greg Harper, Runzheimer International’s President. It was also announced that Matt DeWolf, formerly a Managing Director of RouteSmith will now hold the position of Director, New Product Development at Runzheimer International. Jeff Smith, also a former Managing Director at RouteSmith, will now hold the position of Development Manager with Runzheimer International. The operations previously of RouteSmith will remain based in Denver and will become a satellite location of Runzheimer International.
